Week 1: Scientific Method

Scholars,

For Week #1 I'll give you an easy task. List in Chronological Order: The Steps of the Scientific Method and give descriptions of each step.

Cheers

Mr. D

Ps: Don't forget to put your full name inside your Post so I know who to give credit to.

Sirtuins (Sir2) is a conserved family of protiens found in all domains of life so that means every living thing possess it. Sir2 means silent information regulator 2. It regulates Ribosomal DNA recombination, gene silencing, DNA repair, chromosomal stability and longevity. Sir2 homologues also modulate lifespan in worms and flies, and may underlie the beneficial effects of caloric restriction, the only regimen that slows aging and extends lifespan of most classes of organism, including mammals. There are many good and productive ways we can use this biological break through to help people around the world and animals. Its very interesting to know that it can help treat diseases in animals and help futuree break throughs to keep our world alive and healthy and keep different specimens of life alive. It may also extend our lifespan by a lot so that is always great. Sir2 was originally mating-type regulator 1 but by virtue of a spontaneous mutation that caused sterility by relieving silencing at the mating-type loci HMR and HML. HML and HMR, also known as the silent mating-type loci, are subject to a position effect. Gottlieb and Esposito demonstrated, 10 years after this initial finding, that SIR2 is the only SIR gene required to suppress recombination between the 100–200 copies of the ribosomal RNA genes repeated in tandem on chromosome XII. Witch means it rapidly produces cells and can make them reproduce faster and accurately.
